Finnish crossover veterans cite recent lineup developments as band mastermind Kartsy promises return as soon as possible
‘Waltari‘ have announced the cancellation of their planned October 2026 tour due to internal circumstances within the band. Full refunds will be available for all affected ticket holders.
Band mastermind Kartsy Hatakka addressed the situation directly: “For the very first time in our decades long career we had been forced to postpone a tour! You can be sure this one as well had been heavily discussed and gauged within the band, yet with broken hearts we must make this decision. We so much are looking forward to meet all of You again eye to eye and I promise, as soon as possible.”
The band was clear that sluggish ticket sales are not the cause of the cancellation. Rather, recent internal changes occurring ironically just after the shows were announced have made it impossible to carry out the tour as scheduled. Hatakka hinted that there is more to the story than a simple logistical setback: “There is a strategical reason behind all this, too, and that is to provide you fans something greater in the future.”
No replacement dates have been announced at this time. Ticket holders are asked to return their tickets to the point of purchase. ‘Waltari’ are working to announce new tour dates as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the band’s most recent album “Nations’ Neurosis” is available on CD digipak, vinyl, and digital platforms.
