Trutnov Battlefield, Czech Republic – July 3, 2026
By the time Friday arrived, Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 had fully transformed Trutnov Battlefield into a relentless vortex of noise, sweat, and chaos. If the first two days built the momentum, day three felt like the moment where everything peaked, louder, heavier, and more unhinged, with both bands and crowd locked into a rhythm that refused to break. The battlefield had become exactly that.
‘Botulism‘ opened the day with a direct and uncompromising burst of grindcore that immediately shook off any lingering fatigue from the previous nights. No warm-up, no easing in, just raw efficiency from the first note, setting the tone with the kind of blunt force that Obscene Extreme mornings demand.
‘Øblast‘ followed with a sharp and aggressive set that built quickly on that early momentum, drawing the first committed pits of the day from a crowd already fully dialed in. Short, focused, and brutal, exactly what was needed to keep the morning rolling in the right direction.
‘Pustulant Flesh‘ escalated things considerably, delivering a dense and punishing wall of sound that hit with remarkable consistency and weight. By this point the crowd was fully awake and responding accordingly, the kind of reaction that only comes when a band earns it rather than demands it.
‘Decorticate‘ brought a slightly more structured approach to the chaos, combining technical precision with sheer intensity in a set that stood out for its tight execution. There is a particular satisfaction in watching a band that clearly knows exactly what they are doing, and this was one of those performances.
‘Spoiled‘ injected a different kind of energy into the afternoon, leaning into a raw and confrontational delivery that kept the atmosphere volatile and genuinely unpredictable. The crowd responded to the aggression with the kind of enthusiasm that only a festival like this one can produce.
‘Opstand‘ carried that momentum forward with a performance rooted in urgency and controlled aggression, keeping the crowd constantly engaged and refusing to let the energy dip between the bigger names on the bill. Solid, purposeful, and exactly right for the moment.

‘Phantom‘ shifted gears with a more classic heavy and thrash-infused approach that offered a welcome change of texture without sacrificing any of the day’s intensity. Sometimes the most effective thing a band can do in this context is remind the crowd where all of this came from.

‘Melting Rot‘ dragged the sound back into darker and heavier territory, delivering a thick and oppressive set that landed with full force on an audience that had been building in energy all day. The kind of performance that physically changes the atmosphere inside a festival ground.

‘Amputated Genitals‘ returned things to full gore-soaked extremity, combining shock value with relentless speed in a set that embraced the Obscene Extreme spirit completely and without apology. Exactly what you want from a band with that name on a stage like this one.

One of the most distinctive moments of the entire day came with ‘Možnost Volby?’, whose blend of grindcore and political edge brought a genuinely unique identity to the stage. There was a conviction behind their performance that went beyond mere extremity, and the crowd felt it, responding with an intensity that matched what was being thrown at them.
‘Bodyfarm‘ delivered a crushing dose of old-school death metal that combined groove and brutality in a performance that felt both powerful and controlled. The Dutch veterans know how to hold a stage, and they did so here with the kind of authority that comes from years of doing exactly this.
‘Poison The Preacher‘ followed with a modern and aggressive approach that balanced precision and impact throughout, maintaining the day’s relentless pace without ever feeling formulaic. A tight and well-executed set that deserved more attention than festival schedules typically allow.
‘Accion Mutante‘ injected crossover chaos into the mix, delivering a high-energy performance that blurred the lines between punk and metal in ways that felt completely natural. The crowd responded to the groove and the fury in equal measure, and the pit reflected it instantly.

‘Demonical‘ commanded the stage with a dark and forceful performance that reinforced their reputation as one of the most reliable acts on the European extreme metal circuit. There was a heaviness to their set that went beyond volume, something in the atmosphere they created that lingered even after the last note faded.

‘Warcollapse‘ pushed the intensity further with a crushing and uncompromising performance that somehow managed to feel both raw and carefully constructed at the same time. The Swedish crust veterans brought history and fury to the Trutnov stage in equal measure.
‘Morta Skuld‘ delivered one of the genuine standout moments of the day, combining decades of experience with a power and focus that connected strongly with longtime fans. There are bands that simply know how to make a festival crowd feel like they are witnessing something important, and this was one of those moments.

‘Isacaarum‘ brought their unmistakable blend of goregrind and absurdity to the stage in a performance that turned pure chaos into something almost theatrical. The Czech hometown act received a predictably enthusiastic reception, and they gave everything back and then some, turning their slot into one of the most entertaining spectacles of the entire festival.
‘Fleshcrawl‘ followed with a dense and punishing set of classic death metal that delivered consistency and weight in equal measure. No gimmicks, no theatrics, just a band that understands their craft deeply and executes it with conviction every single time.

‘Macabre‘ elevated the night considerably with their signature mix of brutality and dark humor, offering a performance that was as musically tight as it was genuinely entertaining. It takes a rare kind of skill to make an audience laugh and wince simultaneously, and few do it better.

‘Jungle Rot‘ brought groove-laden destruction to the late-night slot, delivering a heavy and commanding performance that kept the energy at full throttle when lesser bands might have allowed it to coast. The Wisconsin veterans arrived, did their job with total conviction, and left the crowd hungry for more.
‘Vulvectomy‘ returned the night to pure slam brutality, unleashing a relentless assault that pushed the crowd back into full chaos just when it might have begun to settle. Exactly the right band at exactly the right moment in the night.

‘Razorrape‘ continued the late-night extremity with a raw and aggressive set that refused to let the intensity drop regardless of the hour. The kind of performance that reminds you why you are still standing in a field at this time of night in the first place.
Closing out the day, ‘Svaveldioxid‘ delivered a ferocious final performance that carried the last remaining energy of the crowd deep into the early hours, ending day three on a note of uncompromising extremity that felt entirely appropriate for a festival that has never once apologized for what it is.
By the end of Friday, Obscene Extreme 2026 had reached its boiling point. Day three didn’t just maintain the festival’s intensity, it pushed it to its absolute limits, leaving everyone exhausted, exhilarated, and ready for whatever final chaos still lay ahead. One more day. One last assault.
