‘Tortured Demon’ have unveiled “Apocalypse,” their first release through BLKIIBLK, the heavy metal imprint of Frontiers Label Group. The track arrives ahead of a headline tour across the UK and Ireland beginning October 22, supported by ‘Unburier’.
The Oldham-based four-piece describe the new single as a direct statement of intent. The band commented: “‘Apocalypse’ channels the anger and resentment of the young, staring into a bleak future that’s being actively sold off by the ruling classes. With E-standard thrash and low-tuned breaks all melted into the same pot, this song cohesively brings together all of the sonic elements of Tortured Demon, as we look towards the future both musically and lyrically. ‘Apocalypse’ serves as our mission statement moving forward, and we are proud to launch it as our debut BLKIIBLK track.”
Frontiers Global Head of A&R and BLKIIBLK label head ‘Mike Gitter’ expressed his enthusiasm for the signing: “Tortured Demon’s reputation for dangerously aggressive thrash with a razor-sharp punk edge already preceded them before I heard the new album which BLKIIBLK will be releasing next year. What I heard goes beyond anything they’ve done before in terms of songwriting and playing without losing sight of their origins or grimy Discharge T-shirts!”
With members still around 22 or under, ‘Tortured Demon’ mix old-school thrash velocity with modern metal muscle, and have already accumulated more road miles than many bands twice their age. They have appeared at Bloodstock, completed UK headline runs, and shared stages with ‘Power Trip’, ‘Municipal Waste’, ‘Death Angel’, ‘Evile’, and ‘Xentrix’. Two independently released albums got them this far without waiting for anyone’s permission. A debut full-length through BLKIIBLK is planned for early 2027.
