Legendary hardcore and metalcore force return November 13 via Napalm Records with Kurt Ballou-produced record featuring Randy Blythe and Guy Kozowyk
‘Walls of Jericho‘ have released their new single “Agency,” the second taste of their long-awaited album “System Error: Humanity,” dropping November 13, 2026 via Napalm Records. Following the critically praised first single “The Ascent,” which earned recognition for its fierce breakdowns and demolishing riffs, “Agency” arrives as an even more ferocious statement of intent.
Like a bullet from a gun, “Agency” takes off at full speed in explosive thrash excellence before dropping into a tectonic breakdown. Frontwoman Candace Buckingham delivers a moving sermon of self-actualization, galvanizing listeners to fight for their fundamental human rights.
Buckingham explained the song’s message: “Agency is a song about freedom. The kind that lives within you, the kind no one can take away, and the kind you have to fight for every single day.”
“System Error: Humanity” opens with “True Til’ Death,” where Buckingham immediately commands listeners with her gargantuan growls. Tracks like “The Ascent” and “Untouchable” tap into something truly primal with their claustrophobic chord work, while more thrash-driven cuts like “The Flame” and “Agency” plow through protein-packed riffage and solos at relentless pace. Lyrically, the band stokes the flames of discontent throughout, with tracks like “Agency,” “Borrowed Ground,” and “Last Judgement” delivering empowering messages of reclamation, self-determination, and human rights.
The album features a premier selection of guests. ‘Lamb of God’s’ Randy Blythe appears on “Broken Mouths Can’t Speak,” his beckoning howl joining Buckingham in a ferocious dual attack. Guy Kozowyk of ‘The Red Chord’ appears on “Humanity,” propelling the groove-laden pit starter into cataclysmic levels of chaos. Additional guests Patsy Puopolo and Matthew Ruby appear on the transcendent slow burn “A Brighter Fire.” The album closes with “The Reckoning,” delivering an epic, catastrophic energy bookended by one of the album’s most punishing breakdowns.
Legendary producer and ‘Converge’ guitarist Kurt Ballou, known for his work with ‘Nails’, ‘The Dillinger Escape Plan’, ‘Code Orange’, and ‘Every Time I Die’, is behind the boards, capturing the band’s ferocious live energy while maintaining a pristine presentation.
