Hamburg blues-infused hard rockers continue their rapid rise with emotionally charged new track
German rising rock force ‘Velvet Rush‘ have unveiled their new single “The Sound Of Letting Go,” out now via Frontiers Music Srl, accompanied by an official video.
Singer Sandra Lian explained the meaning behind the track: “‘The Sound Of Letting Go’ is a song about change, self-belief, and the courage to let go. Capturing those moments when life takes an unexpected turn, reminding us that these very moments often pave the way for a true new beginning.”
Hailing from Hamburg, ‘Velvet Rush’ are breathing new life into modern rock with a sound rooted in blues-infused hard rock, seventies attitude, and contemporary energy. Fronted by the charismatic Sandra Lian, whose powerful and untamed vocals sit at the heart of the band’s identity, the group combine authenticity, groove, and raw emotion into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Alongside guitarist James Moncur, bassist Tim Black, and drummer Daniel Rothe, Lian leads a band whose electrifying chemistry has quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most compelling live acts on the European rock circuit.
The band recorded their music at Hamburg’s renowned Chameleon Studios with acclaimed producer Eike Freese, known for his work with ‘Deep Purple’, ‘Simple Minds’, ‘Slash’, and ‘Status Quo’, crafting a sound packed with driving guitars, memorable hooks, and undeniable energy.

‘Velvet Rush’ have been building momentum rapidly since their debut single “Euphonia” earned Classic Rock Magazine UK’s “Best Rock Song of the Week” accolade in October 2024. Their debut album “Trail Of Gold,” released in September 2025, received widespread acclaim and was highlighted as a “Tip of the Month” and “Tip of the Year” by leading rock publications including Classic Rock, Rocks, and Rock Hard. Their latest single “Nature Of The Beast” has been added to Planet Rock Radio’s A-List, earning heavy rotation on the UK’s leading rock radio station.
Onstage, the band have continued their rapid ascent, sharing stages with Jerry Cantrell, touring Europe alongside ‘The Vintage Caravan’, and appearing at major festivals including Rockharz. With a second studio album coming soon, ‘Velvet Rush’ are poised to become one of the defining new voices in modern hard rock.
